I said I'd never do this, which just goes to show what a pushover I am -- it's all Jess's fault for ignoring my rants about LJs and sending me an invitation to join and then ducking for cover. Sigh. Seemed stupid and pigheaded to refuse to be dragged (even if with some proforma kicking and screaming) into the modern era. Everyone I know seems to be here already (no, I'm not a trend-setter -- what was your first clue? ), and I do like to hang out with my friends. So, for better or worse, here I am.

Hi Marilyn,

Thanks for friending me back--much appreciated. :-) The show officially opens tomorrow but the opening and reception are going to be on the 27th as I'll be in Chicago at ZCon tomorrow. :-) I got a note from the instructor who invited me to show and she said the show "knocked her sox off." I thought that was cute. ;-) Thanks for asking. I just hope the students will enjoy the work. I have to give two talks to the students on the 27th--one about my profession as an art conservator and the other about the artwork. It's going to be a *very* long day. Ugh. ;-)

Lorraine, have a great trip and really enjoy both it and the time at your show and giving talks. Might be a long day, but hopefully one that's energizing and exciting. Once it's over and you have time to breathe again, let me know how everything goes!
