I just found out that the LMFA website has disappeared and am just sick about it. Does anyone know what happened? Or did anyone keep their own lists of the annual nominations and wins? If so, would you please send copies to me? This had to be the best place to go for story recs and I'm just stunned that it's gone.

I just feel so bad. All that work and all those superb lists of stories ....

We were told the site "crashed and burned," and Wayback won't pull up anything from the site past 2007.

I've learned that most, if not all, the pages of nominations and winners are available through a variety of different providers who were foresighted and saved all this stuff, bless their hearts. Jess Riley is eventually going to get whatever is still available posted in the LJ Sentinel Library, but it may take a while to track and verify story urls.

The WB machine doesn't work without specific urls, and I've never saved the urls. So I think I'm out of luck, even for the years that can still be accessed.

You can access '04, '05, and '06 nominations through this link (http://web.archive.org/web/20081121021451/http://www.lmfa.diagonalfiction.com/previous/previousyears.php). I don't know about more recent ones, though!

Jess Riley has been tracking down links and will eventually have most if not all the nominations and winners from each year on the LJ Sentinel Library. Sadly, though, I'm sure some will be lost given all the upheavel in websites over the past few years.

Yes, this is an enormous loss!!! Hopefully somebody kept at least a list of titles. But with so many sites gone, it may be hard to recreate. In any case, I'd be happy to help track down fics if someone has a list - years 2008-present, I believe?

Do you have Jess Riley's email or LJ? She has lists but not a lot of time to track down and verify individual story urls for posting in the LJ Sentinel Library. I'm sure she'd appreciate whatever help you could give!
