I wasn't going to post this information, as I suppose it will be public soon anyway, but I was just so pleased and surprised that I shared the information with a few friends, and was then encouraged to go ahead and post it here, too.

I've just been advised of my nominations for LMFA awards. Like StarWatcher noted in her post, we don't know how many 'votes' it took to qualify, and perhaps not many, lol -- but it's so very affirming to know that stories were remembered and that enough folks thought enough of them that they qualified for the ballot. So, whomever you are -- thank you!!!

In Slash, Holocaust, by Sylvette and I, is nominated for Angst and Collaboration.

In Gen ...

Distant Thunder is nominated for Crossover

In Plain Sight for Post TSbyBS. As an aside, In Plain Sight qualified last year, but I had one too many stories on the ballot, so I dropped it -- and I'm just so grateful that it's back this year.

Quiet Desperation for Angst, Episode Related and Long Story. It also qualified for H/C, but a story can only be on the ballot three times, so I had to choose which categories. I'm particularly pleased that people enjoyed this story so much, as I wrote it as a birthday present for a very close and dear friend in Budapest.

And I'm on the ballot as well for Gen Outstanding Author.

Whew -- you can see why I'm so absolutely thrilled. However the final awards turn out, I'm really grateful for this acknowledgement and for the 'feedback' that these nominations represent.

Congratulations! "Holocaust" is such a wonderful story, I really enjoyed it! I haven't read your gen stories so far, but it's on my "to do" - list. :-)

Thanks so much! I must admit to being a bit stunned by it all, especially Holocaust because we got so little feedback on it when it was posted; and a third to half of what we did get was probably the most negative feedback I've ever gotten in my life! So I'm really glad to know you enjoyed it! If you ever find time to look at my gen stories, I hope you'll enjoy them, too.

I'm really sorry to hear this. But the fact, that "Holocaust" is nominated now is a kind of feedback, too. :-)
I enjoyed all the Thin Blue Line Stories, (just finished Trick or Treat and I'm so glad that it's only a week until I'll know what happened to Blair ;-)) the characterization, the cases, the artwork - a great work. Thank you - and all the other authors and artists - for these wonderful stories. :-)

Thanks so much for your note! I'll pass it along to our whole group! And, you're right, of course, that this nomination is wonderful feedback. I think it's taken a while for the fandom to trust us -- to trust that we will fulfill our promise of eight movielength stories in an integrated season, and that's only natural. By the time we got to Hunters' Moon, movie 4, people were beginning to really enjoy the series and have been more generous with commentary. I'm delighted to know you're enjoying it all, and appreciate your comments on Trick or Treat. I hope you'll also enjoy Desperate Journey and our last movie in December!

Congratulations! I still have a couple of these I haven't yet had a chance to read (saved for when I finish wading through end-of-quarter grading hell), but from the many stories by you that I have read, it's clear that these honors are well-deserved! Thanks for sharing the gift of your imagination and talent with us!

Of course, I expected nothing less; there are a lot of good writers in TS fandom, but you stand out even there. Well done; I'm so proud of my friends.

Thanks, StarWatcher! But you've got a great stable of writers! Have you seen Jess's and Fluterbev's posts? Man, they left me in the dust this year! I am so proud of them and am really so pleased to have them sharing the Outstanding Author Gen ballot space with me! I'm so proud of them!

Oh, yeah, I saw. And I'm already wibbling over how I'm going to decide which of you I think is the most outstanding writer. I hang out in rarefied circles, that's for sure.
