::PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG TO OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES/FANS::

There are only FIVE (5) days left on the Auction and plenty of great items left in ALL categories. There are also some new ones added this weekend and today. So a few reminder bullet points as we come down to the wire of the 9th Annual Online Moonridge Auction (or as I've nicknamed it: The EMAIL-A-THON!):

* READ THE FAQ (http://gmfor-moonridge.livejournal.com/17068.html#cutid5) and keep it bookmarked!

* YOU CAN DONATE ITEMS UP TO FRIDAY (but obviously the sooner, the better)

* YOU CAN ADOPT ANIMALS UNTIL JULY 10TH (this is NEW)

*ANIMALS TO ADOPT (http://www.mafg.org/adoptions.htm) and they're $25 each (you can adopt as many as you want)

* WHEN PREPARING YOUR PAYPAL - DON'T FORGET YOUR SNAIL MAIL ADDRESS FOR MOONRIDGE!

* AFTER SENDING YOUR PAYPAL - DON'T FORGET TO SEND ME A COPY AT: alysideburns@gmail.com

* DONATIONS CAN BE FOUND IN TWO DIFFERENT SPOTS:
1. The Official Moonridge Website (http://mafg.org/donateditems.htm)
2. The GMFOR_MOONRIDGE site
a. PAGE 1 of DONATED ITEMS (http://gmfor-moonridge.livejournal.com/15514.html)
b. PAGE 2 of DONATED ITEMS (http://gmfor-moonridge.livejournal.com/17783.html)

* ALL NEW ITEMS ARE PUT UP AT THE GMFOR_MOONRIDGE SITE FIRST - SO KEEP CHECKING THROUGHOUT THE DAY

* ALL PHOTOS FOR DONATED ITEMS ARE FOUND ONLY AT THE OFFICIAL MOONRIDGE WEBSITE

* THE FINAL DAY TO PAY FOR ANIMALS AND ITEMS IS JULY 10TH

* THE AUCTION ENDS AT 12:01AM, SUNDAY, JULY 1ST (But this is a loose date - the only date written in stone is the payment due date of July 10th - so technically, if, on Sunday, July 1st, you get up and find items still available that you want, just follow the usual procedure. Just remember - JULY 10TH is IT!)

* YES, WE DO SPECIAL DEALS - SO EVEN IF SOMETHING IS CLOSED, AND YOU WANT IN (maybe a story or podfic or anything else offered to a limited # of people) - JUST ASK. YOU NEVER KNOW, THEY MIGHT SAY YES!

* IF YOU TELL FRIENDS - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - GIVE THEM THE FAQ URL - THIS WILL SAVE YOU TIME - AND ME. *g*

* I'LL HAVE A PRELIMINARY TOTAL-TO-DATE LATER IN THE WEEK

* IF YOU NEED TO RESPOND TO THIS MESSAGE, DON'T HIT 'REPLY' OR 'REPLY ALL' - EMAIL ME AT: alysideburns@gmail.com

Thank you to everyone who has participated so far - and to the Moonies (Virginia Sky, GB, Janet, Kaleecat, Sylvette, Rae & Ande)!

Janet recommended this author to me and now I'm passing it along. I've virtually inhaled all the books in this series over the past week or so (starting with Flight of the Aquevit and Amuse Bouche). There are something like eight or nine books in the series so far with, I very much hope, a good deal more coming in the future.

Russell is a gay private detective who lives in Saskatoon, but whose cases take him all over the world, from the Arctic to New York City, from France and Spain to Africa. He has a wonderful collection of friends, interesting cases, and ... well, you need to get to know them. Bidulka writes with an easy reading style that flows well, is amusing as well as moving, and he does pretty well with suspence. Mostly, it's just a lot of fun to be in Russell's world: he's a really nice guy, a detective who goes the distance to do the right thing and a man who loves his mother and his friends (including his two dogs), and who does his best for all of them.

Go, read the books! I'm sure you'll enjoy them every bit as much as I do.

Man, the post TSbyBS story, wherein Blair is beaten by cops, ends up with amnesia and ... well, is risking his very soul, just won't quit! I'm up to page 50 and it's far from over. So I beg the patience of my donors -- it won't likely be done by the weekend, especially as I have company arriving tomorrow for several days. And the other story, the AU set in the thirties, wherein Jim is a uniformed cop and Blair is a young minstral, singing in a coffee house to pay his way through school, living rent free in a warehouse his cousin, Robert, made available to him, to help him -- well, it's only up to five pages. But it will be more of an adventure, a rollicking tale, with less angst and hopefully more humour, that should easier and faster to write.

I'll definitely try to get both done by the end of the summer. I promise.
